Sharon loves yoga because it makes her feel good. She believes, and it is supported by science, that the regular practise of the two basic types of yoga - yang and yin - lead to mental and physical health benefits.
Sharon worked for many years in healthcare and medical research. She became hooked on yoga as a natural follow-on as she is convinced it is vital to have a healthy body and mind to help strive off the effects of ageing and to enjoy life to the fullest.
A yang yoga class (dynamic - ashtanga, rocket and vinyasa flow) with breath synchronised to movement helps one feel energetic, joyful and grateful for all the blessings in life.
A yin yoga practice (calming) revives the body's connective tissues, relieves stress and promotes flexibility (perfect for beginners).
We need both yang and yin for balance in our lives.
Sharon has found that yoga is not about achieving precise alignment in poses but is an ongoing fun journey for all students of yoga.
It affects our life in a positive way and Sharon wants to share her teachings and knowledge to help as many people as possible to discover yoga.
